Zhaoyu in TCU 2

Zhaoyu's Weapon at TCU, Chemistry
Zhaoyu used this "weapon" for about two years. It was his bread and butter. Basically, it is an in-house designed Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) reactor for the growth of nanostructures, nanowires or nanoparticles. Compared to advanced CVD system used in industry, it was simple and rudimentary, but it worked very well for me. It helped me publish two high impact journal papers.
Postdoc: Priyo, Colleague and Friend
Dr. Priyo came from India, an excellent chemist specialized in the synthesis of functional nanoparticles. Later, Dr. Priyo moved to Harvard Medical School to continue his postdoc training. And later, he landed a faculty position in a research university. Dr. Priyo liked to dance and sing Indian songs when he was doing his experiment.

Robert Senter, Colleague and Friend
Robert Senter was also a graduate student when Zhaoyu was at TCU. At TCU, he worked on erbium doped silicon nanoparticles. He liked to listen to music when he was growing his nanoparticles. After Ph.D., Robert moved to UCLA for postdoc career and stayed there till now.
